Sciatica

Sciatica is a condition where inflammation or mechanical pressure has irritated the sciatic nerve causing acute pain to spread down the leg. This condition can range from mild with symptoms spreading into the buttock to severe with pain, numbness, tingling, and even loss of strength radiating all the way down to the bottom of the foot. The causes of sciatica include spinal canal stenosis, degenerative disc disease (arthritis), a herniated or bulging disc, and/or tightness of the piriformis muscle in the buttock (piriformis syndrome).

Sciatica in any form responds very well to Chiropractic care. Whether it be spinal decompression with Cox technique for a herniated or degenerative disc, Active Release Technique for piriformis syndrome, or cold laser treatment for chemical inflammation, Dean Chiropractic has a pain free solution without having to resort to costly surgeries or addictive medications loaded with side effects.
